ASTA is proud to announce that the City of Jacksonville, FL Office of Special Events has signed aboard for TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® 2009, and will produce a maritime festival entitled “Sail Jacksonville Celebrates the St. Johns River” May 28-31.
Jacksonville will be a great assembly port for those vessels who are sailing on to Bermuda to attend the TALL SHIPS® ATLANTIC CHALLENG events there. ASTA will organize a Cruise in Company for that passage, making it all more rewarding and fun.
For more information about this new development, please contact the American Sail Training Association at 401.846.1775 or asta@sailtraining.org

It is finally here! After showing off templates of the Featured Vessel Member webpages at our Regional Meetings this winter, the American Sail Training Association (ASTA) has launched the site and we invite you to click here and book your travel adventure today!
This is one stop shopping to find out what our members have to offer in terms of sail training, educational programs and once in a lifetime opportunities. You can sign up to sail to Antarctica or even sail around the world for 13 months. Or, if warm weather and sultry climes are more your speed, you can sail around the Caribbean on a boat built only for a few. Take the family out for a day sail in the Pacific Northwest and learn about the ecosystems and maritime history of the area. Our vessels also offer educational programs for students K-12 and college students. The tall ships are a truly unique way to bring history to life and to get students involved in learning. We invite you to click on the banner below to see what our member vessels have to offer you. Fair Winds!
