Safe and Sound

Posted by meredith87 on July 11, 2006

The Race Team is still awaiting the return of Mary and Alex…but the day was full nonetheless! We found our spiffy offices in Cleveland’s Great Lakes Science Center aka “Ops” (just because it sounds neat!) The amount of people who are working on this event is jaw-dropping, and surely nothing would get done without the help of every single person.

When we arrived at the office this morning the Saint Paul was already safe in her berth, with Koozya, the cat, on his perch I’m sure! By mid-afternoon the docks of Cleveland were greeted by the US Brig Niagara, as well as the Canadian Brigantine St.Lawrence II, along with Appledore IV earlier this evening.

All of the other participating ships are safe and sound, anxiousloy awaiting the beginning of the 2006 TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE, and what an event it will be!
