Bonny Prince William

Posted by Tall Ships America on July 12, 2007

This past weekend,we ran the second race of the VECTRIX TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE(r) race series off the coast of Portsmouth, NH. It was gross weather up until the start of the race, then streams of sunlight came through the clouds and the winds picked up enough for the ships to sail across the start line. About five mintues later, the sun went back behind the clouds and the winds died.  One of the ships participating was the Prince William all the way from Portsmouth, England (www.tallships.org). In this video, crew are up in the yards while the ship is underway. It is a bit seasick-inducing at the start, but  after about 20 seconds the picture evens out.
