ASTA awarded Site of the Month!

Posted by Tall Ships America on May 3, 2010

The American Sail Training Association’s Great Lakes United TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® Series 2010 has been selected to be the Great Lakes Information Network Site of the Month for May. As you can imagine, we here in the Newport office are thrilled and honored!

Some of the other sites that have received this designation include the states of Illinois,Indiana, Michigan, New York and Wisconsin; the U.S. EPA-Great Lakes National Program Office; New York State’s Seaway Trail; and the St. Lawrence Seaway, among others.

A Great Lakes Commission project, the Great Lakes Information Network (GLIN) is a gateway to the Great Lakes region of North America. Its data holdings and services cover the environment, economy, tourism, education, maps and GIS, demographics and much more. Launched in 1993, GLIN has been growing ever since, currently averaging more than 4.5 million hits per month. Visit GLIN at http://www.great-lakes.net/ .
